Big trees

 The 2006-2007 National Register of Big Trees has nine South Carolina trees on it.

Nope, not the Angel Oak on Johns Island and nope, not the Middleton Oak at Middleton Place. Granted, those are BIG trees, but they must not be NATIONAL RECORD BIG trees. There's also a state registry of South Carolina Champion Trees. (S.C. Champion persimmon at right.)
