Yesterday, Trent came to mow GMLc's "lawn," which consists of Charleston grass, Bermuda grass, highway grass (weeds), crabgrass and dandelions.... and patches of dirt in between patches of grass in the back yard. The mower stirred up such huge clouds of dust that you couldn't see. Trent said, Your yard is DRY. So I hope for a nice thundercloud to sit right on top of Chez GMLc today ... NEED RAIN!
Judging from my e-mail, today's GMLc column has stirred up city's tour guides.
Tom apparently thought about it some more and then wrote again: "If tour guides were Muslims, Mark Jones would be Mohamed Atta. Mark will make a lot of people angry at all tour guides who don't share his extremist views."
It's at the mothership where you'll also find audio of Jim Whitaker, 89-year-old longtime radio broadcaster who is one of four men being featured in a University of South Carolina exhibition on radio broadcasting during World War II.

Does this mean I have you to blame for Friday's downpour?

Heather, yes, you can blame me. I asked for rain. But I've been punished. The rain hatched out all the tiny bugs that are now all over the porch. I can't figure out what they are. I think they might be immature mole crickets. Anybody know anything about bugs?
