Colleen Troy alerts me to the fall speaking appearance here of Peter Shankman, entreprener and founder of the site "If I Can Help A Reporter," a two-way communications street between reporters and sources. Log on as a source, or go to the journalists' page and post a query on what you are researching. Folks will write you back. Cool, huh?
Also, see today's (Sunday, July 27) NYT for coverage of the BlogHer convention in San Francisco.
Colleen also told me something else interesting about a journalism story idea sharing site or a feeder of stories to media or ... hmmm, what was it ... well, um, no, yeah. OK, It's lost on the haze of 1 1/2 margaritas at Santis Mexican Restaurant on upper Meeting Street. Great place to eat.
Wait! Was it ProPublica she was talking about? ... Nope, gone completely. If i only had a memory....

Hey, Harriet. Welcome back, Is THIS day One?
Just saw a release about a Charleston ice cream naming contest for this wednesday at Circa 1886.
It's at 2pm and the finalists names include "pluffmud" and "seersucker."
I'll be there!
